Aluminum Frames

The aluminum frames in the Lancaster range of conservatories signify a new era in window fenestration, with products that have been designed to comply with the ever increasing complexity of Building Regulations, and other regulatory demands.

The aluminum frames and sashes in the Lancaster range are constructed using elegantly sculptured profiles to create a quality window with classical aesthetics.

The interior and exterior of these frames are painted with a durable powder-coated finish which is baked on to ensure longevity. The intelligent design of the window profiles allows the frames to be powder coated a different color on the inside and outside if so desired.

To ensure maximum thermal efficiency a unique polyamide thermal barrier is incorporated into the aluminum sections to form a single compound profile. All corners are reinforced with stainless steel corner ties and extruded aluminum corner cleats. All joints are sealed against water entry during manufacture.

The aluminum casement windows in the Lancaster range are fitted with multi-point locking systems, comprising of high strength brass alloy bolts, moving in opposing directions and an opposing center cam operated by the 'Autolock' handles with key deadlocking. Hinges, as standard, are stainless steel projecting friction stays with optional restricted and egress variants.

The aluminum hinged doors in the Lancaster range are also fitted with multi-point locking systems for optimum security. The three main locking bolts are hook shaped to prevent the door being levered away from the frame. The center latch can be dead-locked, and additional high security shootbolts top and bottom can be specified to secure the door in a total of six places.

Also available in the Lancaster range is the sliding folding door system. This door has been developed with a host of unique features and benefits that ensure it far exceeds the standards of other similar doors available. With the slim sightlines and true dual color options, these doors carry the weight of the panels on the bottom wheels to remove the risk of frame distortion. The easy-glide stainless steel wheels offer smooth operation but are totally obscured from view once the door is closed. The doors feature a Eurogroove multi-point locking system—far stronger than 'window' hardware used on most other doors of this type. This means that the doors can be fully operated from outside as well as inside. From two panes to seven panes, doors can be designed to open inwards or outwards and can slide either to the left or the right.
